The KL is a multiple key bolt interlock designed for switchgear and valve interlocking applications.
The unit comprises a heavy-duty lock body, multiple lock centers and locking bolt. The KL interlock is available in two configurations: key exchange, which is used in applications where a continuing interlocking sequence and personal key is required, and double key, which is for use at the end of an interlocking sequence.
Key exchange: In the normal 'locked off'operating condition, the bolt is extended, the primary key is trapped and the secondary key is free. Inserting and turning the secondary key releases the primary key and retracts the bolt. In this condition, the secondary key remains trapped and the bolt cannot be re-extended.
Double key: In the normal 'locked off' operating condition, the two keys are free and the bolt is extended. To retract the bolt, both keys must be inserted and turned. Both keys remain trapped while the bolt is retracted.
Note: 2 lock portions come standard. Additional lock portions available upon request. |
